« DAY 6 »
Paris, 21.04.2018
DAY 6 is the last part of the Trilogy of Fire, an intercontinental experience created by Agathe Simon and realized by The Group:
- DAY 4. On February the 6th, 2018, members of The Group from all continents wrote a text expressing the fears they were living through that specific day. The text were sent from 18 countries: Angola, Argentina, Canada, Cuba, France, Greece, Iceland, India, Italy, Morocco, Norway, Russia, Serbia, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Tasmania, Turkey, and the United States.
- DAY 5. On the evening of February 9th, 2018, members of The Group realized a ritual in the Vincennes woods dedicated to the purification of those fears. The eight participants of the ritual became ambassadors for these texts from abroad, before beginning an individual and collective catharsis.
- DAY 6. On 21st April 2018, members of The Group gather at the Point Zero of Paris, from where they disperse in order to cast off their individual fears. They then reunite on the “Pont des Arts” to scatter the ashes of the DAY 5 ritual, thus bringing to a close the Trilogy of Fire.
The Trilogy of Fire (film, installation, photographs, and art book) will be presented as a preview during the retrospective exhibition of the art company The Group on Saturday, 27 October 2018, 8pm, at La Générale in Paris, France.
